Bank exec spends $1.76M on Brooklyn Heights condo

Medium 38a63d947c2666632a2e9d49b5f6555f Susan Skerritt and Brian O'Keefe bought a condo at 10 Montague Terrace in Brooklyn Heights from Maxine Schaffer and Sharon E. Fay for $1.76 million on June 5.

Unit 20 is one of 20 units in the four-story condo development at 10 Montague Terrace in the Brooklyn Heights Historic District, which was built in 1900.

Skerritt is executive vice president of business strategy, development and investment in the financial markets and treasury services division at The Bank of New York Mellon Corp. She also serves on the company's operating committee, global diversity committee, the Bank of New York Mellon Trust Co. and the womens' initiative network steering committee. She previously was a partner at the New York office of Treasury Strategies Inc. She has also held senior positions in the areas of treasury management, global custody and international treasury at Manufacturers Hanover Trust Co., Ernst & Young and Morgan Stanley.

She earned a B.A. in economics at Hamilton College and an M.B.A. in finance and international business at New York University.

O'Keefe has served as a managing director at Standard & Poor's. Previously, he was an associate at Clifford Chance and at Jones Day Reavis & Pogue. He has also been a senior consultant at Ernst & Young.

He has a B.A. from Georgetown University and a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.

Fay is the CIO and head of equities at AllianceBernstein, a global asset management firm.

She obtained a B.A. from Brown University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. She is a CFA charterholder.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 114 condo sales in Brooklyn Heights during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $514,000.
