Investment fund co-founder nets $5.2M in Park Slope

Medium b63a4b3e22c5e960e0fce64eff32204b Craig Nerenberg and Phoebe Taubman bought a seven-bedroom, 4.5-bath home at 19 Montgomery Place in Park Slope from Nicholas Lembo and Marla Lembo for $5.2 million on June 5.

The property was built in 1898 in the Park Slope Historic District.

Nerenberg is co-founder and managing partner at Brenner West Capital Partners, a New York City-based investment fund. He currently serves as chair of Village Health Works, a non-profit organization that provides healthcare to the people of Burundi. He previously worked at MSD Capital, Michael Dell's family partnership and Gotham Partners.

He graduated from Dartmouth College with a bachelor's degree in economics.

Nerenberg and Taubman also own the home at 114 Bergen St. in Boerum Hill. They paid $1.69 million for the property in April 2009.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 199 home sales in Park Slope during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $649,500.
