Bonterra at Woodforest in Spring

Bonterra at Woodforest holds groundbreaking for new clubhouse, Texas Hoedown for residents

Bonterra at Woodforest is making news with the February 20 groundbreaking of its centerpiece clubhouse.

Designed for residents of Bonterra, a community that celebrates the excitement and vitality of great living for those 55 and better, the clubhouse will offer a place to meet, mingle, stay fit or simply sit back and relax.

When completed, the new clubhouse is slated to cover approximately 10,000 square feet and provide ample opportunities and space for gatherings and activities led by Bonterra Lifestyle Director Amanda Daugherty.

In addition, there will be a large fitness center, movement room, massage room as well as a gaming room and more than 2,500 square feet dedicated to a multi-purpose events room. A coffee bar and kitchen will also be included. Outside the amenities will be a resort-style pool, fire pit, covered veranda, an event lawn, pickle ball courts, bocce ball courts and more.

“It’s been an eventful and successful year for our 55+ homebuyers,” Ellison said. “Our first Bonterra at Woodforest residents just recently moved into the community, just months after we welcomed almost 2,000 eager visitors to our grand opening.”

Bonterra has invited its new residents to join officials from Taylor Morrison and Woodforest to mark the groundbreaking of the clubhouse, one day before Bonterra invites the rest of Houston to join in the fun with a Texas Hoedown, complete with a live band and barbecue.

The Texas Hoedown is perfect for anyone who loves country music, BBQ and cowboy boots. Everyone is encouraged to wear their snazziest cowboy hats, boots and buckles and invite their friends and family to a night of fun where they’ll two-step the night away to live country music.

RSVP will be accepted at bonterrald@nfcamenity.com. For more information about Bonterra, please visit www.bonterra55.com.

Bonterra at Woodforest Offers Plenty of Exciting Events, Active Lifestyle for its Houston Residents

Living at Taylor Morrison’s Bonterra at Woodforest means having access to fun-filled events throughout the year, with opportunities each month to catch up with family and friends over a delicious barbecue, wine tasting, potluck dinner and more.

At Bonterra at Woodforest, Lifestyle Director Amanda Daugherty spends her days creating the types of signature events that create long-lasting memories for residents. So far this year, residents have enjoyed a winter happy hour at Woodforest Golf Club where a signature drink contest resulted in the winning drink being expertly paired with a selection of appetizers that everyone could enjoy.

Residents painted their own masterpiece during a special Pinot’s Pallette event in late January, where everyone embraced their inner Picasso while sampling wine and light appetizers.

A Super Bowl party was held on February 1, with everyone gathering at Bonterra at Woodforest’s Granda model home for an afternoon of football, fun, food and games.

Next month, Bonterra residents will ride to Houston’s 2nd Annual Whiskey Festival in style aboard a chartered bus March 21.

There’s even more planned for this spring and summer, with Daugherty putting the finishing touches on a St. Patrick’s Day friends and family event in March, a Kentucky Derby party in May, an antique car show in July and a bus trip to St. Arnold’s Brewery in August.

“Our goal with Bonterra has always been to create a true community for our residents, a place where everyone can feel at home and somewhere fun is always on the calendar,” Daugherty said. “These events are fun for all of us because they give us an opportunity to learn about one another, to develop those friendships that make a community like Bonterra such a special place.
