Power generation exec deals Flushing condo

Medium ee2d5e0547bc78ac34e7dbe3e127ee69 Yongfen Gao and Hanzhong Ma sold a two-bedroom, two-bath condo at 138-35 Elder Ave. in Queens to Jonathan Kam Ho Yu and Jenny Cheung for $495,000 on May 23.

Gao and Ma paid $495,000 for the property in Feb. 2011. The 1,200-square-foot Unit 12A is one of 227 units in the Woodner House Condo, a 20-story high-rise in Flushing built in 1986.

Gao is a Six Sigma Master Black Belt at Cummins Power Generation, a provider of electrical generators and power generation systems. He previously served the company as a senior process engineer and an Oracle Siebel on demand manager. He has also served as a research assistant at Cleveland State University and as a manufacturing engineering manager at Tianjin Toyota Motor Engine Co.

He has a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from Hebei University of Technology, a master's degree in mechanical engineering from Cleveland State University and an M.B.A. from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 511 condo sales in Queens during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $301,250.
