Medium 918ecd2aa93195b870e1d444f47053de Former Chicago Bears quarterback Rex Grossman has listed for sale his three-bedroom, 3.1-bath townhome at 115 S. Newport Court in Lake Forest for $899,000.

Grossman paid $797,275 for the townhome in May 2005, the same year it was built. There are 84 townhomes in the Stonebridge at Conway Farms development.

Dan DeLozier of Prudential Preferred Properties is the listing agent for the property.

Grossman, 28, spent six seasons in Chicago, highlighted by his only full season under center during the Bears' run to Super Bowl XLI in 2006. He threw for a career-best 3,193 yards and 23 touchdowns that season, and completed 20 of 28 passes for 154 yards with a touchdown and a pair of interceptions in the Bears' 29-17 loss to the Indianapolis Colts in their first Super Bowl appearance since 1986.

Grossman battled injuries each of his first three years in the NFL from 2003-05, but returned from a broken ankle in 2005 to start in the Bears' 29-21 loss to the Carolina Panthers in the NFC Divisional Playoff game at Soldier Field.

He split time with backup Brian Griese during the 2007 season, and appeared in just four games in 2008 while former backup Kyle Orton took over as the Bears' regular starter. Grossman became a free agent following the 2008 season, but the Bears chose not to resign him to a contract. He is currently a free agent, represented by agent Drew Rosenhaus.

The Bears selected Grossman 22nd overall in the 2003 NFL Draft out of the University of Florida, where he was the AP National Player of the Year and runner-up for the Heisman Trophy in 2001. He is originally from Bloomington, Ind., where he was the 1998 Indiana Player of the Year.

Orton has also listed his condo for sale in Highland Park for $560,000.

There were 23 condo sales in Lake Forest in 2008, with a median sales price of $605,000.
