Eight Earn "Those Who Excel" Honors
Eight members of the Stevenson High School community have been selected to receive Those Who Excelawards from the Illinois State Board of Education for making significant contributions to elementary and secondary schools.

There are three levels of Those Who Excel awards Excellence, Merit and Recognition presented in six categories: school administrator, school board members/community volunteer, educational service personnel, student support personnel, team, and classroom teacher/early career educator.

Stevensons 2010-11 Those Who Excel recipients are:

Award of Excellence: Nancy Kroon, educational service personnel.

Award of Merit: Aaron Elster, community volunteer; Lynda Gunther, student support personnel; and the Student Activities leadership team of Ted Goergen, Aaron Wellington, Brett Erdmann and Dolores Fischer, team.

Award of Recognition: Anthony Reibel, early career educator.

The Illinois State Board of Education will honor all of them at its annual Those Who Excel banquet on Saturday, October 16 in Peoria.
