Stevenson Earns Bright A+ Award
Stevenson is one of only 57 school districts in Illinois to receive the SchoolSearch 2010 Bright A+ Awardfor academic excellence in education. The award is given to school districts that are among the top 5% of Illinois school districts academically. There are 869 school districts in the state. The award criterion for high school districts was an ACT composite score of 23.1 or higher in 2009. Stevensons ACT score in 2009 was 25.7; in 2010, the score rose to a school-record 26.2.


Three of Stevensons six consortium districts also earned Bright A+ Award status based on the overall percentage of students in third- through eighth-grades who met or exceeded state standards on the mathematics and reading portions of the Illinois Standards Achievement Test (ISAT). Kildeer Countryside District 96, Aptakisic-Tripp District 102 and Lincolnshire-Prairie View District 103 received the award.


This is the 12thyear that SchoolSearch has given out its Bright A+ Award, and Stevenson has been a recipient each year
