The Wyckoff-Bennett Homestead

This home was reportedly built before 1766 and during the American Revolution, housed Hessian soldiers. It is also the last privately owned Dutch Colonial Home in New York City. The Wyckoff family owned the property from 1776 to 1835 and the Bennett family from 1835 to 1983. The home is currently owned by Stuart and Annette Mont, and while the City of New York is working to purchase the property, the Monts will remain inhabitants.
