The Wit Earns National Honors
The 2011 edition of The Wit, Stevenson's literary and art magazine for students, has received a First Class rating from the National Scholastic Press Association, with three marks of distinction.

The marks of distinction are awarded for sections or areas of the magazine that stood out as exceptional during NSPA judging. The three marks of distinction were awarded in content; in writing and editing; and in photography, art, graphics and typography.

In the content area, the diversity of style in writing and images was praised. In writing and editing, the quality of prose, poetry and drama earned distinction. In the visual arts area, the quality of artwork throughout the magazine was highlighted.

The editor-in-chief of the 2011 Wit was Ariel Rosen, the senior editor was Danielle Levsky, and Darcy Rozen was in charge of digital imagery. All were members of the Class of 2011. The rest of the student staff included 2011 graduate Emily Davis; seniors Ariel Blackman, Kimberly Levy and Luke Stroth; juniors Rachel Affenit and Shayna Korol; and sophomores Joanne Jun and Diana Lu.

The sponsors of The Wit are Jim Barnabee and Chris Heckel-Oliver.

The Wit is one of the oldest co-curricular programs at Stevenson. The 2011 Wit was the 44th volume of the magazine.
