Jay Berwanger, who won the first Heisman Trophy, lived in this house at the time is death in 2002. The retired plastics manufacturer won the now-legendary trophy in 1935. The Philadelphia Eagles made him the first pick of the inaugural NFL draft in 1936, and attempted to trade his rights to the Chicago Bears.
