Joseph Ferriola was the boss of a Chicago Outfit street crew from 1979-1989 when he owned this house. His street crew made their living off the collection of extortion, loan sharking, and bookmaking. Ferriola died in 1989 after receiving a second heart transplant. He also owned a 14-room home in Oak Brook on Forest Glen Ln.
