Joseph Breig was assistant managing editor for the Cleveland Catholic Universe Bulletin in 1961 when he owned this house. He was a writer for the Pittsburgh Sun-Telegraph (1940-1945) and worked for the Universe Bulletin from 1945 to 1981. Brieg was also the author of several books on Catholcism.
