Former Indians outfielder Albert Belle has owned this Highland Park townhome in the Euclid South neighborhood. Belle, a Louisiana native, played with the Tribe from his major league debut in 1989 until signing a five-year, $55 million deal with the Chicago White Sox in the winter of 1996. He'd play two seasons with the White Sox before invoking a trade clause that required he be one of the highest paid players in Major League Baseball and becoming a free agent. The Baltimore Orioles signed him to a five-year, $65 million deal in 1998, but after he was plagued by hip injuries, he retired in 2000 at the age of 34. Belle is one of five players to have eight straight seasons of 30 home runs and 100 RBI (Babe Ruth, Jimmie Foxx, Lou Gehrig and Albert Pujols are the other four).
