Former MLB commissioner (1989 to 1992) Fay Vincent owned this house from 1998 to 2007. Notable events in baseball during his time as commissioner included the 1989 World Series which was interrupted by an earthquake and postponed for ten days, the 1990 MLB lockout which resulted in spring training being cancelled along with 32 regular season games, and the 1992 permanent suspension of MLB pitcher Steve Howe for numerous drug offenses. Vincent is also the former chairman of Columbia Pictures and executive vice president of Coca-Cola.
