Actor, Patrick Swayze, grew up in this house. The People magazine 1991 "Sexiest Man Alive" starred in some of the biggest blockbuster films of the 1980s and 1990s including Red Dawn, Dirty Dancing, Ghost, and Point Break. Swayze, a Waltrip High School graduate, passed away in 2009 succumbing to pancreatic cancer.
