Former Lieutenant Governor of Texas, William Pettus Hobby Jr., owns this house. He was Lieutenant Governor a record 18-years, from 1973 to 1991. Hobby Jr. is the son of legendary Texans, William Pettus Hobby Sr. and Oveta Culp Hobby. He also served on the Southwest Airlines board of directors for 17 years.
