Singer, Terry Ellis, grew up in this house. She gained fame as a member of the quartet En Vogue. En Vogue's seven MTV Video Music Awards are the most by any female group. Ellis, a 1981 Worthing High graduate, also received a degree at Prairie View A M. She is the only member of En Vogue to have never left the group in its twenty-plus year history. As of 2010 En Vogue is signed to Rufftown records and is currently in the recording studio.
