First Lady of the United Staes lived here

Jacqueline Bouvier was an infant in 1930 when she lived in this building according to the U.S. census. Her parents were stockbroker John Vernou Bouvier III and Janet Norton Lee. The family paid $400 a month in rent to live in the building. She married Senator John F. Kennedy in 1953 and became First Lady of the United States when Senator Kennedy was elected President of the United States in 1960. After President Kennedy's assasination in 1963 Mrs. Kennedy wed Greek shipping tycoon Aristotle Onassis. The marriage ended when Onassis passed away in 1975. Kennedy Onassis worked at Doubleday Publishing for many years as an associate editor. She passed away in 1994.
