Famed Metropolitan soprano lived in this building

Soprano Licia Albanese lived in this building in 1967. She spent most of her career at the Metropolitan, making her debut in 1940 and retiring in 1966. Albanese is the chairman of the Licia Albanese-Puccini Foundation. The foundation is dedicated to assisting young artists and singers. Albanese was presented the National Medal of Honor for the Arts in 1995.
