Prominent Jewish leader lived in this building

Rabbi, Dr. Simon Greenberg, lived in this building in 1967. He was a prominent advocate for Conservative Judaism. Dr. Greenberg became a member of the Jewish Theological Seminary (JTS) faculty in 1932 and was named vice chancellor in 1957. He retained emeritus status at the JTS after retiring in 1986. Dr. Greenberg was also chairman of the World Zionist Organization of America from 1963 to 1968. He passed away in 1993.
