"King James" of Variety magazine lived in this building

Journalist, Abel Green, lived in this building in 1967. Variety magazine founder and publisher, Sime Silverman, hired Green as a reporter in 1918. Green would become the editor of Variety for 40 years. His 1973 Time magazine obituary stated, "If Variety is the Bible of show business, then Green is its King James."
