Kingston Trio founding member, Nick Reynolds, owned this house in 1967. The folk and pop group achieved most of their success in the 1950's and 1960's with hits including "Louie Louie" and "Tom Dooley." The group won two Grammy Awards and had five Billboard magazine No. 1 albums and 14 top ten albums. Reynolds helped form the group during college in 1956. He sang lead, harmony, and played tenor guitar on many Kingston Trio hits. In 1959, four of the groups albums ranked in the top ten, a record shared with the Beatles that still stands. Reynolds passed away in 2008.
