Meat packing company president owned this house

George Heil was president of Heil Packing Co. in 1912 when he owned this house, according to The Book of St. Louisians (The St. Louis Republic, 1912). He began working for his father who was a pork packer. Heil Packing Co. was valued at $10,000 when he was elected president and treasurer in 1903. By 1909, the company was valued at over $150,000.
