Circuit Court judge owned this house

Elmer Adams was a U.S. Circuit Court judge in 1912 when he owned this house. He was appointed U.S. district judge for the Eastern District of Missouri by President Grover Cleveland in 1895. President Theodore Roosevelt appointed him to U.S. circuit court in 1905.
